I began tutoring Biology for OSSD students while studying in Canada, helping learners connect theoretical knowledge with real-life applications. With a strong scientific background and over 4 years of tutoring experience, I focus on core areas such as cell biology, genetics, and human physiology. My lessons combine visual learning, practical examples, and structured exam preparation to ensure lasting understanding and confidence.

For me, teaching Biology is about helping students see how living systems connect and interact rather than simply memorising facts. Over the past seven years, I have guided learners through challenging topics such as microbiology, cell biology, and biochemistry using examples from real medical settings. My goal is to make every lesson purposeful and engaging, showing students how biological concepts apply beyond the classroom while building their confidence step by step.

I believe effective Biology learning comes from curiosity and connection, not memorisation. As a Life Sciences student at Queen’s University, I’ve spent over 3 years helping IB students simplify complex biological systems and develop analytical thinking through active discussion and inquiry-based learning. My lessons focus on clarity, confidence, and applying theory to real-world contexts in preparation for IB exams.

My journey into teaching Biology began from a love for understanding how life works — from cells to ecosystems. After several years of teaching and mentoring students online, I shifted my focus toward helping Alberta learners excel in Biology by connecting scientific theory with everyday life. I use interactive lessons, discussions, and inquiry-based activities to make topics like genetics, ecology, and physiology engaging and accessible.

My teaching in British Columbia focuses on helping students understand Biology as a living, evolving science. With over seven years of experience, I guide learners through key BC curriculum topics such as genetics, ecology, and human systems using real-world applications from my background in medical laboratory technology. I encourage inquiry-based learning and active discussion to help students build confidence and a lasting interest in Biology.
